Here in Europe the movie (titanic) will be released the 7 january in France and the 16 january here in Italy. In France there are two magazines with wonderfull pictures about Leonardo: one, the greatest and the most beautiful, is Studio - special issue
for the end of the year with a great interview and faboulos pics; the second
is Premiere France, with the cover devoted to L. and K. - very funny! If you
can, search and take it!!

*i read in the new Vanity fair that Leo's role in the new Woody Allen movie is a Cameo as a celebrity. Well duh, himself. I dont know if that means his part will be small or what. Hm.

Titanic At The Box Office:
'Titanic' Beats Bond at Box Office

LOS ANGELES (Dec. 22) - The epic love story ''Titanic'' sailed into the number one spot, earning $27.6 million in ticket sales during its opening weekend.

Close behind at No. 2 was Pierce Brosnan starring as British agent 007 in ''Tomorrow Never Dies'' taking in $26 million, according to industry estimates Sunday.

''Titanic'' fell $5.4 million short of the record December opening set by ''Scream 2,'' but it appeared on fewer screens and faced tougher competition.

The three-hour, 15-minute love story set on the disastrous 1912 maiden voyage of the luxury liner is the most expensive movie ever made at $200 million. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio and is directed by James Cameron of ''Terminator'' fame.

''You have Jim Cameron, one of the most successful filmmakers of his day, Leo DiCaprio, who couldn't be hotter, and a story so well known - we've had great elements to work with from day one,'' said Rob Friedman, vice chairman of Paramount Motion Picture Group, which is releasing ''Titanic'' domestically. Twentieth Century Fox is handling overseas distribution.

The new James Bond film dominated the young adult male market, pulling audience away from ''Scream 2.'' In its second week, the horror sequel had $14 million in ticket sales - a 64 percent drop - and fell from first to third place.

''Titanic'' managed to draw a mixed audience - 57 percent female and 55 percent in the 25-and-older category.

Friedman said that exit polls were ''amazing, the 'definitely-recommends' were phenomenal.''

Dolll Says: Im actually quite dissapointed that titanic didnt beat Bond by more, , oh well.

Dolll's Titanic Review:

I had originally typed up another review, written on the 20th, but i saw titanic again last night, and my feelings on it have changed a bit. So mabye i can write a more collective review. Or something.

I saw titanic where the premire was held. I was so excited i could hardly contain myself. The movie, totally blew me away. The time flew by. The movie doesn't feel 3 hours in the least. The romance is set up beautifully. I actually can't write much of a review because i have found it near impossible to explain in words how wonderful this movie is. When i saw it the first time, i was completley sucked into it. I was bawling half way through the sinking. No, not crying..i mean i was heaving sobbs. At one point i literarlly felt that my heart was being ripped out of my chest. I was naseous with grief. I left the movie totally drained. I was completley spent.
A movie did this to me. What does that say about a movie? If a movie can have that sort of effect on you. Everyone was doing everything right. Let me use personal examples. Um, after the movie ended a friend of mine turned to me, as the credits rolled and asked, "so when are we seeing it again?". We listened to the soundtrack, and just listening to it would cause us to weep. Anyone i talk to about the movie, we always get weepy saying things like "oh and then when this happend..wahhh it was so sad.."
When i saw the film for the second time, i took a friend who "hates sappy love movies" and "really didn't want to see titanic, but would go just because..". He loved it. He cried a LOT. For a movie to have this holding effect over people. You know you've found something special. Leo aside, the movie was just..amazing.

Favorite Scenes:
Well, i must say that the love making scene was..delicious. hehe. one of my favorites...but my favorite scene, over all..had to be.
When Rose was in the lifeboat and Leo was watching her crying, and then she jumped out and..they run to each other and..ohh..he grabs her and kisses her and keeps saying "You're so stupid rose why did you do that?" (you jump i jump.) The way his voice sounds in that scene. Brings me to tears faster than any other scene. I crave this movie. Its unexplainable. We're lucky that our favorite actor happens to be the star in one of the best movie's..ever.
Although Titanic has 8 Golden Globe nominations, i dont really see an oscar. I supposed i could see its nomination, but i can't really see it winning one. Although, i don't really know what it will be up against..but we'll see. The only thing possible, in my opinion, is for Kate Winslet to win one. She was amazing.
I will say one thing negative about this movie, i did not care for the effects. There were some scenes where they were plain awful. (any of the ship moving along the water and when rose was looking over the ship to jump.)

Okay im done. the end. I give it a Four and 3/4 stars outta five. :)

Hey, I know I've never written in before. But I never had anything to
say. Well anyway I just saw the Titanic and it was absoulty great. I
loved it. It was realy sad and I am almost positve the main part was
true. If you haven't seen it yet, it goes from past to present, and I
don't want to ruin it for you so stop reading. The old lady, Rose, I
think she was either the real person, or an actor who has listened to
every word of the actual Rose. I thought it was realy neat how she
changed her name to Dason- excuse my spelling- and the way they showed
the pictures of her by the roller coaster and ridding a horse like a
guy. The movie was realy long and it was realy good. So even if you're
not that big a fan of DiCaprio you should still see it.
and again..
If you haven't seen the movie yet, you need to, don't read this.
I want to know other people's opion on how they were trying to portray
Rose's fiancee. I'm not sure if he was suppose to be realy mean and
didn't love her. Or if he loved her and didn't want to let anybody else
love her. 'Cause at the beging he was trying to protect her and amaze
her, and then he became mad at her and tried to kill her. S if anybody
else has an opinion I would like to know. I hope I'm not the only one
confused on this subject.
Thanks for Listening!

Yeah, can someone forward the Titanic script to me too? I saw it on
Saturday, and it was excelent. It will win every award out there. The
ending was sad, but something that many of you might not know is the
whole movie was a flaskback told by Rose, Jack's (Leo) girlfriend on
titanic. It was the best movie I have seen in a long time, and I don't
think any movie out there comes close. Oh yeah, leo was great in it.

Words cannot possibly describe how great and touching Titanic was. It's amazing what love can do between two people. I can definitly see why the movie cost $200,000,000. Everything seemed so authentic. I plan to go see it again sometime this week. I feel an Oscar coming on!

My review on TITANIC..........

I just saw TITANIC today, and it was definately one of the most breath-taking experiences ever. The movie was dramatic, yet funny, lots of action, yet very romantic, I loved every moment. I, too, found the "I'm flying'' scene to be the most beautiful scene in the movie. I had seen some previews of it, but not nearly expected it to take my breath awaay. The scenes when the ship was about to go down amazed me the most. I was practically crying when they showed the captain, and the man and wife, the music was so right. As the ship went down, I found myself holding my breath along with Jack and Rose. Afterwards, when they showed some of the dead peoplecovered with ice myself, I truly felt the captain's (or whatever) compassion, especially when they showed the icy mother and baby. When it finally came to Jack, I felt like sharing her tears too. Yet, when she was fighting for strength to call the captain over, i felt her courage.
I extremely loved this movie, and highly recommend it. AND, trust me, this movie is definately worth having a sore butt afterwards for.

I had seen a little interview or some show, and they had James Cameron on. He said how in the ''I'm flying" scene, well, you gotta see the movie, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Anyways, in that scene he commented on how that was one of his favorite scenes or whatever, cause when he shot it, everything was just perfect, the sky, the weather, the two actors. He said how when the sky dimmed at the perfect point, the two actors hit their cue, kissed and it only took them one take.
How perfect is that? By the way, that was my favorite scene. =)

From: Well, i took this from a MORRISSEY mailing list belive it or not..

You all might be interested to know that I read a while ago that Leonardo had
been interested in being in the film adaptation of Dennis Cooper's novel
Frisk, but that his management wouldn't allow it at all. (I thought that was
weird because I thought he was managed by his father or something, but I'm
probably wrong) Supposedly, they figured it would totally destroy his
Hollywood carreer to appear in something like that - Total Eclipse being ok
because it was a period piece and all. The film of Frisk hasn't been to any
film festivals near here yet, but I can't imagine it being as graphic as the
novel, which deals with a young man's obsession with homosexual "snuff" porn
and includes at least one graphic scene of paedophilic murder. I personally
couldn't read the book all the way through.

They also have clips of the third class dancing, the time when the
titanic se sail, and a overview of the movie. I think there might be
some other scenes but I'm not sure. They also have interviews with Leo,
Kate, James, and the older Rose (I don't know her name). It is a neat

BUt is anyone perfect, and because LEo has the perfect looks does not mean he is PERFECT! I do agree that Leo seems like he would be an AWESOME friend! IF you think dating models is wrong well what is your problem? Everyone has their own true love you just have to find them, your true love might be a model?!? HIs might too! SO, there ya go. OH YAH He did not DATE Brigit Hall, that is a rumor he has been romancing the same girl for years, I forgot her name but I will find out! REMEMBER everyone is not perfect and we can not expect LEO to be! I think he deserves the swooning because he is an OUTSTADNING ACTOR and man is he A HOTTY OR WHAT? well thats all I have to say! Well, nobody's perfect, huh? I mean, obviously, with all that attention going towards him, ( ya know, all those titles he's claiming, "This generation's best....", ''Teen hearthrob of world") of course his head is going to get a little bloated, I mean, who wouldn't? Everyone does, its common human nature. So, he probably thinks he's hot and deserves the best of the other sex. BUT, that doesn't matter. He may not be the best of sensitivity around, but he seems decent ENOUGH, he's hot-looking and he's got a hella of an acting talent. I mean, no matter how much you hate him or his actions, he is a terrific actor, and possibly is the best of his generation. Possibly. AND, that Bridget Hall story, I thought their so-called ''dating'' was just a rumor, wasn't it?
